Motivate!!!

What is motivation. Success stories? An enthusiastic speech?

I find motivation not only in success stories and speeches (even-though they are motivating).

When I see my 6 months old daughter tries to hold an object with her small hands, I see motivation. 

You may ask, how it is a motivation to an adult like us.. and you may think that it is common to all babies. In-fact we have crossed the same when we were babies.

If you observe the babies, all the new activities, learning for a baby is a milestone, not only for them also for the parents!!!...:)

The questions I got in my mind when I saw my baby first are, How come she will adapt to this environment after 9 months of darkness? How she will re-act to the light and darkness? Will she frighten by seeing us? How could her digestive system adopt to the milk all of a sudden?

You may wonder, how it is related to the heading. Every baby is putting so much effort to do something new. 

In my opinion, motivation is what we are getting from people who are trying to do things which they are not able to do and get succeed.

When you see a shy person talking to a new person, he broke some barricade inside him and that is the motivation. When you find an elder trying to understand whatsapp and facebook, its a motivation. When a kid cycled for the first time without falling. another kind of motivation you get.

There is a zen story in which a zen priest asked a child holding a light, "From where did the light come?" and the kid blow off the light and answered, "Where the light went? It came from the same place". It stunned the zen priest.

In the same way all our surroundings are teaching and motivating us. Either it can be from "A monk sold his Ferrari" or from "a kid trying to stand".
